Last Friday at 2:53 in the morning my carbon monoxide detector went off. I was sleeping on the second floor and rushed down to turn the oil boiler off in a smoke filled room. I opened the doors to let the smoke out. I had a very busy day and called H&H Plumbing and Heating after their closing time 4:00.
I lucked out and got the general manager Kate. She listened to my problem and went beyond anything I have ever experienced in a business. She let me send a video of the dangerous event to her personal cell phone. After she saw the video I took rushing downstairs in the middle of the night to flip the emergency switch to turn off the furnace. She told me I could contact her on her personal cell phone over the weekend and she would send someone out. It gets better.
Today Kyle and his apprentice Collin showed up right on time. Kate had moved their schedule around to accommodate me. Kyle and Collin could have not have done a better job. The furnace had inches of soot from a faulty exhaust combined with an air combustion band that somehow was turned off. I am always curious about how things work. Kyle showed me how the oil entered the boiler and how it was ignited and the furnace was fixed. Best service experience ever. This company is simply amazing! First there is Kate. She is pleasant and works hard to make sure that your needs are met. Tom Doherty is the most skilled professional and well respected man who knows what's going on with your system in a time efficient manner and works hard to follow through on the solutions. And Jake and Mitchell, who handled getting our new hot water heater replacement under warranty were absolutely so quick in getting a new one ordered and got back to us asap on every question we had. It has been several years, 3 I think, since they installed my heat pump. Was a hot install for their guys, in our attic and was about 115 degrees up there. Not one complaint from either technician.
